The next morning, Christine and Brandon led Hobart to inherit his father’s extraordinary legacy, beginning with clues about the Duke of Entropy’s Extraordinary Characteristic.

• Hobart reviewed Xue’s investigation and appointed her to gather intelligence, assigning her to find Herwin Rambis’s residence and investigate more Aurora Society members.

Hobart learned about several Duke of Entropy Characteristics and inherited Rex’s records and the Trensoost Family’s treasures. He then questioned Trensoost, who revealed that nine Characteristics existed and began explaining their history and whereabouts.

• Christine told Hobart that the Balk Family’s Sealed Artifact and a sealed angel’s remains on Longtail Island were two leads to Duke of Entropy Characteristics, and Brandon revealed he had found a possible direct descendant of the Nether Emperor in Tingen.
• Christine and Brandon opened the Stone Door and gave Hobart Rex’s inheritance, including a Trensoost Family emblem, valuable materials, and Rex’s final notes urging him to seek his mother’s help and resolve the family Curse.

Audrey interrupted his research with news that everyone at Herwin Rambis’s villa had died in a gas explosion.

• Trensoost explained that gods generally kept three Sequence 2 Characteristics, could expel only those beyond that number, and limited their churches to three angels to reduce the risk of betrayal.
• Trensoost traced the known Black Emperor and Balancer Characteristics, including those held by the True Creator, the Tamara Family, the Balk Family, and the Augustus and Castile families.
• Hobart decided to seek Megli’s Beyonder Characteristic first, rejected a plan to let Trensoost revive inside Lawrence, and studied Rex’s notes on the family curse and April’s possible connection to the Earth Mother Church.

• Audrey confronted Hobart over Herwin Rambis’s death and the servants who died, and Hobart explained his choices while reaffirming their relationship.
• Hobart attended Georgina’s gathering, danced with Princess Alice, and clarified that he intended to leave Backlund with Audrey.

In the Country of Disorder, Hobart discovered that Megli’s lingering spiritual remnants also remained in the characteristics and the badge, leaving him to wonder whether they could form another Angel.

• Hobart examined the sealed cocoon and identified the pale-blue liquid as the “Duke of Entropy” Extraordinary Characteristics, while finding no corpse of Megli.
• Hobart released the Black Hound Spirit Beast and removed the seal, but Megli’s evil spirit used Exploitation to disrupt his attempt to move the characteristics away.
• Hobart and the Black Hound Spirit Beast fought the evil spirit as it wielded abilities through its Connection to the characteristics, and Hobart eventually covered the characteristics with an Order Crystal to cut off that power.

Hobart used the Solomon Family badge to take over the Mountain God's connection with its believers, redirecting their faith to himself as the Lord of Longtail Island and stabilizing his rule. The chapter ends as Klein and Leonard confronted Amon's avatar in a Secrecy World, with Hobart and Pales intervening in the battle.

• Hobart named the Sealed Artifact 1-113, the Solomon Family badge, and used the Country of Disorder's pool to find and sever its threads to the Mountain God's believers.
• Hobart announced a new Honorific Name and answered the natives' prayers, directing former Mountain God believers to worship him as the Blessed of the Creator and Lord of Longtail Island.

• Hobart collected the six Time Worms Klein had sacrificed, then joined Fors to finish preparing Tuthuga Port for its reopening.
• Tuthuga Port opened with banners granting pirates citizen rights and protecting their deposits and purchases as legal property, while notices made clear that crimes committed in the port would be punished.
• Pirates tested the port's restaurants, courts, brothels, bank, exchange, auction house, and pawnshop, finding a safe place to trade and settle while learning to follow its rules.
