Hobart examined the badge in his hand. The first thing he could confirm was that it contained Extraordinary Characteristics of the "Black Emperor" pathway.

Moreover, the level of the Characteristics was not low. It should be at the level of a "Madness Magician."

He further guessed that Megli had asked an "Artisan" to "embed" the "Madness Magician" Characteristics from her husband's shattered Characteristics into the badge, turning it into a Sealed Artifact.

This should not have been difficult after Megli became an Angel. After all, the God of Artisan had supported the Trensoost Empire both before and after becoming a god.

The Extraordinary Characteristics in the badge also allowed Megli to steadily wield abilities at the Sequence 3 level. By further "connecting" them to the Extraordinary Characteristics of the "Duke of Entropy," Megli gained the ability to discover and exploit loopholes in the Nether Emperor's seal.

Otherwise, how could an evil spirit alone possibly break through the Nether Emperor's seal? Even if the Nether Emperor had fallen and the seal had loosened somewhat, the Underworld was still providing power for the seal. As an Undead creature, it would have had no possibility of breaking through it.

But the Extraordinary Characteristics within this badge changed things. They made the evil spirit extraordinarily advanced the moment it appeared and gave it a stable source of power.
