The first faction was represented by Tamara. They believed in an evil god, willingly becoming its servants in hopes of regaining the Extraordinary Characteristics of the "Hand of Order" and allowing the family to once again have an archangel.

The other faction was led by Pedi. They strongly opposed family members believing in an evil god, believing that it would make Beyonders cold and, especially for family members above demigod level, even less than human under the evil god's influence.

The Tamara Family's Internal Conflict mainly lay between these two factions.

According to the notes, this conflict had actually emerged long ago. When Old Tamara had been forced to offer his Extraordinary Characteristics to the Six Gods, Tamara had begun using clues about evil gods obtained by the family to establish contact with that evil god.

Gradually, Tamara began forcing family members to change their faith.

Before this, family members generally believed in the angel within the family—Tamara herself—so at the very beginning, She easily changed the faith of a number of members.

But another group of members might not have been so devout in their belief in Tamara the "Balancer," and they had always refused to convert.

The seeds of the family's Internal Conflict were planted at that time.

Later, Pedi Tamara escalated the family's conflict until civil war broke out.

Pedi had always pretended to support Tamara and had earned Tamara's trust, but it was all a facade he put on to obtain an opportunity for advancement.
