A Gift for You

Oboro and Saitama happened to find Genos on their way back.

They called it finding him because Genos's cyborg body had been smashed to pieces. He lay in a corner by the roadside like a heap of scrap metal, sparks still crackling across his surface.

Both the baldy and Oboro remained remarkably calm about Genos's usual specialty.

"Teacher..."

"Genos, are you okay?"

Saitama ran over and picked Genos up.

"I'm fine... The enemy was merely in a hurry to escape," Genos said.

After talking with him, Oboro determined that the one who had attacked Genos was Fuhrer Ugly, one of the Monster Association's Dragon-level executives.

No wonder Genos had nearly lost his life.

These monsters had fled in large numbers. On one hand, Oboro had dismantled their headquarters all by himself; on the other, they had likely witnessed Saitama's destructive power.

In a way, Oboro and the baldy had inadvertently saved Genos's life.

Over ten minutes later, the three returned to the apartment.

Oboro also entered Saitama's home and sat down in the living room.

"I need to return to the doctor's place for repairs. Also... so many monsters suddenly appearing in this uninhabited area likely means there is some hidden danger. The Association must be informed," Genos analyzed solemnly, his body already in tatters yet his sense of responsibility as a hero undiminished.

Oboro took a sip from his teacup and told Saitama, "You should hurry and take him to Dr. Kuseno's... He looks like he could die at any moment."

"Mr. Oboro, I'm fine... Although my body has been severely damaged, my energy core and—"

"Stop. I get it."

Oboro immediately raised a hand to cut Genos off.

The latter looked ready to launch into a lengthy explanation.

"Are you really okay, Genos?" Saitama was somewhat worried too.
