Final thoughts.

First, let me bow to everyone.

After writing for over a year, this book had finally come to an end.

Thank you all for your support all this time. Salute ∠(°ゝ°) How should I put it? There were regrets, but also things I was satisfied with...

The regret was that, according to my original outline and ideas, I failed to present them perfectly once I started writing. Some parts were indeed poorly written, so I couldn't blame everyone for criticizing them.

But from my own perspective, my biggest mistake was that I shouldn't have written Demon Slayer... According to the outline, I had planned to write Hunter x Hunter, One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, and Dragon Ball—five anime series in total. I intended to write around five or six hundred thousand words for each, and I had even completed the detailed outlines... I had expected to finish at around three million words.

Those five anime had accompanied my youth, and I was extremely familiar with them. Some readers could probably tell that Hunter x Hunter and One Piece were where my writing flowed the most smoothly. But after finishing Hunter x Hunter, I didn't know whether my brain had short-circuited or what, but I suddenly wanted to write this newer series, Demon Slayer. It seemed pretty popular, like it would draw readers... But that very thought threw off all my later pacing and outlines.

I had watched Demon Slayer, and I liked it... But that didn't mean I was deeply familiar with it. Its plot was also very simple. What made it brilliant was its character work and emotions; it required digging deeper into every character's story. If I were to write Demon Slayer again, the most suitable approach would be an ensemble cast, deeply exploring each character's appeal
