After Oboro carried the unconscious Aldama some distance away, he ran into the rescue team dispatched by the Association.
Two of them were examiners for the later stages of the Hunter Exam.
After Oboro briefly explained what had happened, he turned and left.
The two examiners thanked him, their eyes full of curiosity.
Aldama was a One-Star Hunter of the Association, and a combat-oriented one at that... No one had expected an examinee to injure him so severely... More importantly, the one who had saved him was also an examinee.
The Chairman seemed to have held him in high regard during the earlier phone call as well...
When Oboro returned to the oasis, he found that Shalnark had vanished rather than returning ahead of him.
That was within his expectations. After something like this happened, Shalnark certainly would not take any more risks.
Phinks's death... its impact on the Spiders was neither great nor small. At the very least, before they had fully grown, they would need to act more cautiously from now on. As for revenge... that was certain. It was clear enough from what they had done to the Kurta Clan.
But Oboro did not care much.
The Phantom Troupe would only target enemies they were capable of dealing with... In other words, Aldama.
An enormous entity like the Association was not something they dared provoke.
He was not heavily implicated... If the Spiders wanted to have some fun, Oboro would gladly keep them company.
