The small-eyed man suddenly revealed a strange smile. Looking down at Jiang Xiao, he said, "You want to die?"
Jiang Xiao sat on the sofa and gently nodded. His movement was so light, as if he were worried about disturbing the other man. He said, "I'm not afraid of dying. I'm afraid I won't die."
That response made the small-eyed man's smile gradually fade. He stared fixedly at Jiang Xiao, and the room fell silent.
A few seconds later, Jiang Xiao sneered disdainfully. "Another spineless coward. You really are all cut from the same cloth."
The small-eyed man seemed to ignore Jiang Xiao's provocation. He said, "Child, you'll get what you want."
He had only thrown out a threat without giving a clear answer. Jiang Xiao grunted and said, "Your organization has eleven more cowards like you?"
The small-eyed man said in a low voice, "Three days from now, on New Year's Eve. That's your Huaxia New Year."
"Exactly!" Jiang Xiao immediately nodded. "The New Year must begin with blood. It'll foreshadow me becoming hugely famous in the new year. Pick a place."
The small-eyed man stared at Jiang Xiao, watching his fearless appearance. He naturally sensed Jiang Xiao's confidence—or perhaps his arrogance.
At the same time, Jiang Xiao's breathing became slightly disordered. Amid the sleet mixed with Purifying Tear and Domain Tear, his senses detected a palm suddenly reaching out from the rooftop of the G7 residential building, at the door leading to the roof.
That palm caught the scattered raindrops, catching the wet sleet that melted rapidly.
Perhaps the owner of that palm was thinking about something, or perhaps he was feeling emotional about something.
What normal person would hide in a stairwell in the dead of night and stand by the rooftop door to watch the sleet?
