That day, toward nightfall.
A battered black jeep drove beneath a dazzling river of stars.
The driver was a taciturn man in civilian clothes. Sitting in the vehicle were two soldiers dressed in black Night Watch Army uniforms. The dark red character "Night" armband on the right sleeve of their sleek combat uniforms revealed their identities.
In the distance, mountain ranges rose one after another, shrouded in layers of drifting mist.
Whether there were stars or a moon, when you could vaguely make out your surroundings without the lights of human civilization, you could imagine just how dazzling the river of stars in the sky truly was.
This was Earth, the Tibet Autonomous Region, but to Jiang Xiao, it was no different from an Other Dimension Space.
It was simply too beautiful here.
Suddenly, Jiang Xiao felt his right arm being tugged. He turned his head and saw Two Tails pointing out the window.
Jiang Xiao leaned over to look. Beneath the night sky, he saw a stretch of water. It was a lake, but since it was winter, it had already frozen over.
"Tsk, tsk." Jiang Xiao sighed softly, then whispered through the motion, "Where do you think the Void's Space Gate is hidden?"
Two Tails curled a finger and tapped Jiang Xiao on the head, but did not answer.
Jiang Xiao held down his hat, sat upright, and could not help pouting.
If you don't want to answer, then don't. Why hit me?
As the jeep swayed along, the lake was blocked from view by a range of mountains. Jiang Xiao rocked left and right in the vehicle, letting the soldier in front lead him toward the depths of the mountains.
Half an hour later, the vehicle slowed to a brief stop.
