The other shadow smiled strangely and offered no further opinion, merely waiting quietly for Anvis to finish his communication with the Duke.

Just as the two had expected, Anvis soon ended his contact with the Duke and prepared to resume his daily meditation.
But in the next moment, he abruptly opened his eyes in alarm again, casting a suspicious glance around the room.
When he noticed the hands of the Magic Clock beginning to spin irregularly, Anvis's expression changed slightly. He immediately activated an Amulet on his chest, seemingly intending to flee.
But the instant the Amulet's pale white radiance emerged, it was blocked by the ghostly glow surfacing from the surrounding walls, unable to advance even an inch.

Under Anvis's "wary" gaze, two semi-transparent figures glowing with cyan light suddenly appeared before him.
"Do not worry. We are not your enemies. The force sealing your room is merely an effect of the academy's Mystic Lock itself."
Seeing Anvis's expression, the shadow on the left smiled faintly. The cyan ghostly light that had shrouded his face dispersed, revealing a face Anvis found somewhat familiar.
