The Olyvendi lineage dates to the end of the Ancient Magic Empire, when it served Emperor Gloria. Its hereditary domain, Carlas Province, occupies roughly one-eighth of the Gloria Empire and has a population in the tens of millions. The province's annual revenue exceeds one hundred million gold coins when taxes and levies are combined. 8

The Olyvendi and Alfred families originated from a joint exploration of a High Elf avian-bloodline research facility. In a sealed chamber, their ancestors found the only two surviving Legendary Bloodline samples: the Icy Wind Crystal Bird and the Radiant Bird of Paradise. Their increased strength later earned them recognition as two of the empire's four founding dukes. 675
