A Night Worth Remembering

Radiant Era 2464, Blazing Sun Month, the eighth day.

Just as the towering clock tower in the city's northwest corner struck midnight, the dark night sky beyond Silver Gull City suddenly lit up.

The enemy made no attempt to conceal its presence. Massive green flames descended from the heavens, carrying an unmistakable Ninth Rank power fluctuation as they crashed toward Silver Gull City's Lord's Manor like God's Punishment at the end of the world.

The citizens who saw this were first terrified. Then, green flames involuntarily burst from their facial features, and they swiftly became burning green torches before their bodies and souls were drawn into the enormous green fireball in the sky.

The next moment, the Lord's Manor, the target of the attack, suddenly released a semi-transparent distorted rippling domain that rapidly enveloped the entire city, cutting off the subsequent information contamination.

But in that single instant, several thousand people had already perished.

This was not even intentional on the enemy's part. Merely revealing its existence was already more than Professionals below the Fourth Rank could endure.

As the green flames drew closer and closer to the domain below, unstable ripples began appearing across the surface of the shimmering domain, as if it could no longer hold on.

"Has the information been confirmed?"

"There can be no mistake. That is Green Flame's power, and judging by the intensity of its aura, its degree of awakening is likely quite high. Even if it cannot yet descend in person through an Avatar, it can already project its power into this world on a large scale."

"It seems the previous Construct Network incident really did provoke some ancient beings into beginning to awaken. Those mouse-like Heretic God Cults got a bargain for nothing."

Within the domain, Alfred and the Olyvendi Family's Family
