Wariness in his eyes as he watched the six attacking ninth-rank Elf Spellcasters, the ninth-rank guardian of the Construct Network Demiplane wore a grim expression. Streams of deep-blue light flickered across his metallic face, as though he had already entered a combat state.
"Our demands are simple. We merely wish to access the Construct Network's historical records. We will take no other actions harmful to your side, and we are willing to pay appropriate compensation."
The several ninth-rank Elves exchanged glances. In the end, Seymour Silverleaf stepped forward and spoke on behalf of all the other Elves.
"However, because your side has consistently refused to respond to our reasonable demands, we have been forced to employ certain extraordinary measures.
"As far as I know, the Construct Network's existence is rather controversial within the Federation. Not every ninth-rank wishes for the Construct Network to exist. Some friendly members of parliament have privately complained to us before about the harm the Construct Network has done to the Federation.
"And this Demiplane does not seem to belong to the Federation Parliament, but is rather the private property of His Eminence Lolan XV. So, while he is deep in slumber, how many people would truly risk their lives against us to defend this place?"
As he listened to Seymour's measured words, the guardian's expression grew increasingly ugly.
"Now, I will repeat this one last time. We only need access to the Construct Network's historical records. If your side agrees, immediately and voluntarily deactivate the Demiplane's defenses. Otherwise, we will personally take everything here."
