These were meant to reinforce the fields screening off the surroundings, creating room for them to make their arrangements.
With the ritual items on the ground working in concert and the believers of both sides chanting, a new field soon began to generate a kind of field power under the effects of the ritual and materials.
Though the ritual methods of the New Light Sect and the Primitive Sect differed in detail, they were broadly similar. Yet the middle and upper ranks of both sects had not expected the ritual to respond so quickly. This showed that the place was exceptionally suited for arranging rituals and conducting religious activities.
Quite a few high-ranking members looked around. They had never imagined that the Federation still contained such a place so suitable for the Esoteric Sect. Of course, it might also have resulted from generations of the Celestial Mystery Sect sorting out and regulating the environment.
And when they thought that this place would likely belong to them in the future—or at least that they would enjoy a share of it—their eyes burned with eagerness.
