Tamur stood over four meters tall, much the same as Feng He Shou, but his body was far more powerfully built. His wall-broad frame was covered in slabs of rock-hard muscle. With the hall's light falling diagonally from above, his shadow reached almost to Chen Chuan's feet.

Hearing his fluent Da Shun Language, Chen Chuan gave a quiet acknowledgment and said, "Then what do you want, Your Excellency?"

"What, you're here to negotiate with me? Pah!" Tamur spat on the floor. With a sharp crack, stone chips scattered, leaving a shallow crater.

"Cut the crap. You never had any intention of negotiating. I told you my terms long ago, and now you come asking me? On this matter, you either agree or refuse. There's nothing to discuss!"

Chen Chuan glanced at him. His tone was utterly resolute. Anyone who became a Fighter was presumably no fool and should understand what kind of power a mighty nation like Great Shun could bring to bear.

His attitude now meant either that this was simply his temperament—he knew how powerful you were, but still refused to compromise—or that he had something to rely on and had no fear of falling out with the Great Shun Government.

In any event, Chen Chuan had no intention of debating right and wrong with him. The contest between nations had never concerned itself with such things. Its complexity could hardly be summed up in a few simple sentences. Conflict and cooperation ran through it from beginning to end, and anything resembling a moral judgment failed to touch its foundations.

Fortunately, there was no need to consider any of that now.

He glanced at the jade fragment embedded in the armrest. Since he had already found the item, and the other party refused to speak reasonably, he might
