After a year and a month, Reborn, Who Needs Romance? has finally reached this moment.

I combed my hair into an adult style, put on a handsome suit, and sat in front of the computer to write these words.

From an initial subscription of twenty-six thousand to nearly one hundred and thirty thousand average subscriptions, Lao Cuo somehow achieved fame and success while still muddling along. It truly felt like a dream, and after lasting a whole year, that dream has only just begun to fade. My heart is filled with countless emotions.

Feng Nanshu was probably the most complicated and difficult character I have ever written.

Early on, many people asked me, "Why don't you describe her thoughts more?"

The reason I didn't give her too much inner monologue was that Lao Cuo wanted to preserve her innocence.

When a character has too much going on inside, you will never believe she is truly pure and flawless. So I made a trade-off in this regard, placing all expressions of her inner self into her actions and facial expressions, avoiding excessive psychological description that might make her seem vulgar.

As for Jiang Qin, before I began this book, I had one requirement for myself: I had to write him with a youthful spirit.

As for whether I succeeded, that isn't for me to say. I'll leave it to all you esteemed readers to decide.

There were also many other characters, such as Young Master Cao, Hui Hui Zi, Neptune Ni, Su Nai, Dong Wenhao, and Lu Feiyu. I think they all turned out fairly vivid.

Young Master in particular—I have to admit that he almost completely broke free of my original outline and lived out his own brilliance. That is something I have never encountered in my long writing career.
