Fred had barely crawled out of bed when he shivered and hurriedly grabbed his clothes. As his gaze swept casually across the dormitory, he noticed that one of the beds was already empty.
"Albert didn't come back again last night?" Fred muttered as he pulled on his robes. "I think he doesn't really want to stay at school anymore."
"If you're jealous, hurry up and win him over." George, already dressed, pushed open the window to let in the wind and disperse the stale air in the room. "Once everyone graduates, it'll be much harder to chase him down."
"Bloody hell, it's freezing! I haven't even gotten up yet. Can't you close that damn window?"
Lee Jordan, who had just been about to climb out of bed, shivered at the blast of cold air and promptly burrowed back under the covers.
Ever since November began, the castle had grown much colder. Even though today was a rare fine day, it was still terrifyingly cold outside, and the trees were coated in thick white frost.
"Sorry, sorry. I thought you wouldn't be getting up for a while." George shut the window, tapped the kettle on the table with his wand, reheated the water, and poured Lee Jordan a cup of hot water.
"What about you?" Fred turned to ask. "Got a girl you like?"
"Not really. I'll let nature take its course." George shrugged, not especially bothered. Noticing Fred studying him with suspicious eyes, he quickly changed the subject. "Right now, I just hope today's Quidditch Match ends soon. I'm worried Ron won't be able to handle the pressure."
"Don't worry. As long as Harry uses that thing, the match should end quickly. What you should be worrying about is whether Harry will be willing to use it." Lee Jordan felt
