"What are you discussing?"
Hagrid had just emerged from the woods when he saw Harry, Hermione, and Ron standing in front of the Hunting Cabin, whispering among themselves about something.
Hermione turned toward the Forbidden Forest, noticed the injuries on Hagrid's face, and asked worriedly, "Hagrid, how did you get hurt again?"
"Hagrid, don't tell me you went and picked a fight with a troll?" Harry asked jokingly.
"How could that be?" Hagrid waved him off impatiently.
"Those injuries look like someone beat you up." Ron doubted there was anything other than a troll in the Forbidden Forest that could hurt Hagrid.
"What did you want to see me about?"
Changing the subject, Hagrid took a key from his pocket, opened the wooden door of the Hunting Cabin, and invited the three of them inside for tea.
The room was cold. The fire had long gone out, and everything inside was strewn about in a mess. As soon as Hagrid entered, he lit the logs in the fireplace, hung a kettle over it to boil, then took something that looked suspiciously like a bone from a bag above the fireplace and tossed it to Fang.
"Hagrid, what is that?" Ron asked curiously, watching Fang eat.
"Albert had a House-elf send it over last night. Said it was food for Fang." Hagrid threw a towel into a bucket, took it out, wrung it dry, and pressed it to the wound on his face. "Hermione, fetch that bottle of medicine from the cupboard behind you."
"What medicine is this, Hagrid?" Hermione asked.
"Painkillers. Albert told me to throw out that Dragon meat, but I think Dragon meat works better for pain." Hagrid looked apprehensively at the large bottle of medicine before him. "Why doesn't it say how many I'm supposed to take?"
