After returning from Hagrid's, Hermione went straight to find Albert. Unfortunately, she could not find him. From the Weasley Twins, who were having a snowball fight outside the castle, she learned that Albert might have gone on a date.
That night, Hermione could not sleep. Her mind was filled with thoughts of Hagrid and the giants.
She was truly worried that Hagrid had hidden giants in the Forbidden Forest, and even more worried that he would get himself into trouble because of it.
The next day, Hermione found Albert with dark circles under her eyes.
"You don't seem to have slept well last night." Albert noticed the dark circles beneath Hermione's eyes and kindly reminded her, "Insomnia is a girl's worst enemy. If you can't sleep, try drinking some Sleeping Draught."
"Thanks. I want to talk to you about something—something important." Ignoring the curious looks Fred, George, and Lee Jordan were giving her, Hermione pulled Albert into a secluded corner.
"What is it?" Albert asked gently, taking a bottle from his pocket and tipping a pill into Hermione's hand. "This is a Revitalizing Potion."
"Thanks." After swallowing it, Hermione took a breath and said, "I saw the letter you wrote to Hagrid."
Albert said nothing, allowing Hermione to continue.
"Hagrid hid something in the Forbidden Forest, didn't he? His injuries..." Hermione's shoulders trembled slightly. "You must know what he hid there, don't you?"
"That is Hagrid's private matter." Albert drew his wand and cast a simple spell to ensure no one could eavesdrop on their conversation. "If he does not wish to tell you, I will not reveal anything to anyone else."
"It was giants, wasn't it? Apart from fighting trolls, giants are the only possible cause of those injuries. And Hagrid just happened to go looking for giants." Hermione
