That evening, a student suddenly hurried into the Great Hall and shouted at the students having dinner, "Big news! Big news! The Ministry of Magic has sent Aurors—they're outside!"
The students enjoying their dinner all stopped using their knives and forks and looked up at the shouting student. Even the professors who had been conversing quietly stopped talking and turned to look at him, wanting to know what had happened.

"I just saw Umbridge bring several Ministry Aurors here." The boy was panting as he said, "I really don't know what she wants Aurors doing at the school."
"Are you sure they're Ministry Aurors?" someone asked skeptically.
"Why aren't those people out catching escaped Dark wizards? What are they doing at the school?" someone said angrily.
By then, everyone was certain that Umbridge had somehow brought a group of helpers from the Ministry of Magic. Many students grabbed slices of bread and followed the crowd outside, eager to see what Umbridge was up to.
