Hearing someone knock at the door, Hagrid set down what he was doing in puzzlement, rose and walked over. He pushed aside Fang, who was excitedly scratching at the door, then opened the wooden door and looked at the familiar figure outside. Smiling, he greeted him, "Albert, come in. You haven't visited me in ages."

Fang wagged his tail enthusiastically and tried to leap at Albert, intending to lick his face, only to be subdued by a pat on the head.

"Hagrid, you need to leave," Albert said without looking up. His words froze the warm smile on Hagrid's face.

"What's wrong?" Hagrid slowed as he made tea for Albert, turning his head to look at him while he stroked Fang's head. "Has something happened?"

Hagrid knew very well that Albert would never say something like that without reason. Something bad must have happened for him to come and warn him.

"Umbridge's patience is probably at its limit. You should know that after she drove out Dumbledore, your situation and Firenze's have become rather dire."

"So it really is like that?" Hagrid poured Albert a cup of hot tea and muttered, "That wicked old hag. Ever since I came back, she's been looking for an opportunity to get rid of me."

"Firenze's situation is better than yours. At least Umbridge won't touch him for now. But if you still don't leave now..."

"What'll happen if I don't?" Hagrid asked curiously.

"Then you'll probably have to spend the next few months in Azkaban Prison." Albert handed Fang some dog treats, then looked up at the slightly uneasy Hagrid. "Umbridge and Fudge have always been very interested in where Dumbledore is hiding—more interested, even, than catching those escaped Death Eaters."

"They think I know where Dumbledore is?" Hagrid's eyes widened in disbelief.
