"So, you gave that old hag Umbridge a vicious whipping, hung all the Aurors who came to arrest you on the corridor walls, and then ran away?"

Isobel tilted her head as she looked at Albert yawning beside her. She could not help raising a hand to her forehead, wearing an expression that said she had truly been defeated by him.

"If I didn't run, was I supposed to stay and take on the entire Ministry of Magic by myself?" Albert buried his head deep in the pillow and yawned again. He looked exhausted.

"It's rare to see you get angry."

In Isobel's view, Albert had clearly been enraged. Otherwise, someone who always remained calm would never have acted so rashly.

Hanging the Aurors on the walls and whipping the Deputy Minister of Magic half to death was practically declaring mortal enmity with the Ministry of Magic.

If Albert had truly wanted to, he certainly could have found another solution, even nipped the whole matter in the bud.

"I wasn't angry. It's just that sometimes, you can't back down. Otherwise, people will think you're easygoing and easy to bully," Albert mumbled. "Sometimes people are just asking for it. They need a good hard lesson before they feel better."

Of course, that was only one reason for doing it.

The main reason was to complete the panel mission and claim the rewards. Besides, he got to whip that toad senseless and vent some of his frustration. He had also intended to use the Ministry of Magic as a stepping stone to establish his authority, while winning over a batch of Hogwarts students and gaining their recognition.

As for the consequences, they were not actually that serious.

After all, it would not be long before news of Voldemort's resurrection officially spread.
