After leaving the School Hospital, Harry discussed Diggory with Hermione and Ron all the way back. There was something strange about him coming to Hogwarts to recuperate. St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries would have been the better choice, yet Diggory had come to Hogwarts instead.
The three of them eventually agreed that the main reason Diggory had come to Hogwarts to recover was because Hogwarts was safe. After all, someone had mysteriously vanished from St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries not long ago, and there was still no clue as to what had happened.
As for why Diggory had been injured, that remained a mystery. Still, all three believed his injury was connected to Lord Voldemort. Otherwise, Diggory would not have come to Hogwarts... to seek refuge.
