After Apparating back to the Safe House, the group sat on the sofas by the fireplace, warming themselves by the fire. As they used Communication Bookmarks to try to contact Albert, they discussed what had happened in Hogsmeade.
"Who do you think did this?"
"Draco Malfoy."
The simple answer left the people who had been quietly talking among themselves stunned.
"Albert thinks Draco Malfoy did it too?" Cedric casually flipped through Self-Defense Guide, staring straight at George as though hoping to get an answer from him.
"Albert hasn't replied yet, but it should have been Malfoy." George set the Communication Bookmark he had been using to contact Albert on the table, took a bottle from his pocket, and poured himself a purple pill.
"What's that?" Cedric asked curiously.
"Brain Boosting Potion. It makes your mind work more sharply after you take it." George pushed the bottle to Fred, who poured himself one as well.
"Albert made this stuff himself. It works very well."
"Sometimes, we need it to quickly sort out our muddled thoughts and figure out what's really going on." Lee Jordan tossed one into his mouth too.
"So..."
Cedric picked up a Brain Boosting Potion and held it between his thumb and forefinger, still hesitant about taking it.
Of course, he knew about Brain Boosting Potion, but this thing... it looked less like a Brain Boosting Potion and more like some suspicious pill.
"That Opal Necklace must have been worth a fortune. Ordinary Dark wizards wouldn't spend Galleons on something like that, because they aren't rich enough, and they have no reason to do it—let alone send it to Hogwarts."
