No one took the stories in The Tales of Beedle the Bard seriously.

If Albert had not personally said that "The Tale of the Three Brothers" was real, Harry would not have wanted to believe something so absurd either.

But Harry trusted that Albert would not deceive him, especially under those circumstances. He certainly would not deliberately toy with them.

The heart of the story must have been the Deathly Hallows.

The Elder Wand, the Resurrection Stone, and the Invisibility Cloak.

Harry already had an Invisibility Cloak. Though he could not be sure whether it was the very cloak from the story, the one his father had left him had indeed been a tremendous help to them.

So Harry did not particularly long for the Invisibility Cloak from the tale.

What he wanted more was the Resurrection Stone.

If he could obtain the Resurrection Stone, he could ask Dumbledore himself instead of being trapped by that annoying man's riddles as he was now. He would not need to rack his brains trying to pry answers out of Albert, either.

Unfortunately, Harry did not have the Resurrection Stone, nor could he receive Dumbledore's help. For now, they could only rely on themselves.

Harry had already decided that when he went downstairs to meet Albert, he would use Felix Felicis and get as much useful information out of him as possible.

That would leave their already limited supply of Felix Felicis nearly exhausted.

He regretted wasting Felix Felicis so casually before, but there was no use fretting over it now. He could only make the most of what remained.
