Looking at everything that had happened while he was away from Britain, Albert could not help but marvel at how Lord Voldemort had learned some tricks too, becoming even more devious than before.

Then again, anyone who had been beaten up in turns and survived would learn to be more cautious.
It was not hard to understand why Voldemort had become "smarter" after being beaten so many times.
After all, Voldemort had previously relied more on his own power to intimidate enemies and subordinates than on using his brain.
Although Voldemort truly lacked wisdom in certain respects, that did not mean he was unintelligent.
"It seems the difficulty of defeating the Dark Lord has increased quite a bit without anyone noticing," Albert murmured. "Still, the situation is not too bad. Judging by Harry and the other two's reactions, they have changed greatly as well."
As for Harry, Hermione, and Ron stubbornly going to Godric's Hollow, he was not surprised.
