After a light knock on the study door, Isobel, dressed in a nightgown, pushed it open and entered. She placed the freshly warmed milk on the desk in front of Albert, her gaze sweeping over the parchment on the desk before settling on Albert's face as he read intently.

"You should rest first," Albert said softly. "I still have a few things to do."

"You could use the Time-Turner after you wake up and come back to deal with them," Isobel said, leaning over to wrap her arms around Albert's neck and kiss his cheek. "It won't delay anything anyway."

"All right, you're right."

As if genuinely persuaded, Albert picked up the cup and drained the milk in one gulp before getting up to go to bed.

Not long after Albert left, countless ink dots suddenly appeared across the parchment spread flat on the desk, outlining a map. A familiar name stood out on it: Tom Riddle.

Soon afterward, the study door was pushed open again. A figure approached the desk and looked down at the map, their gaze falling on the ink dot named Tom Riddle. "I hope you like this gift, Tom," they murmured.

"Meow!"

Fat Cat Tom gave a soft cry and flopped directly onto the map in front of Albert.

"I wasn't talking about you."

Albert reached out and moved Tom's tail aside.

At that moment, heavy snow was falling at the location shown on the map. Since nightfall, there had been no sign of it weakening.

A cloaked figure appeared without warning. Ignoring the wind and snow around him, he strode toward the distance and finally stopped before an utterly ordinary house.
