Having just finished working for the Death Eaters, Zach grumbled discontentedly as he clutched a bag of Galleons. He had once been a member of a Search Team, but ever since those damned Mudbloods had gone into hiding, it had become difficult for Search Teams to make money by catching people.
Fortunately, those Death Eaters seemed to have gone mad and were producing Inferi in bulk, which gave them another decent source of income.
The only problem was that making one Inferius had originally earned them one Galleon, but now they had to make several Inferi for a single Galleon. Zach had begun considering whether he should quit the damned job.
But even if he returned to the Search Team, it would be hard to earn Galleons by capturing Mudbloods.
He stopped on the street near his front door. Seeming to sense something, Zach abruptly raised his wand and pointed it in a certain direction, but quickly lowered it again when he saw there was nothing there.
"Looks like I'm being too sensitive."
Though he said that, Zach still held up his wand and cautiously walked in that direction. He used its lit tip to probe the darkness ahead, but found nothing.
"Definitely being too sensitive."
He muttered as he turned back toward his front door.
Well, the house did not belong to Zach at all. It belonged to a young couple.
Of course, it belonged to him now.
As Zach pulled out his key, opened the door, and stepped into the entryway, he saw something flash through the darkness. Then an abrupt voice that made his heart race rang out beside his ear: "Stunning Spell!"
The moment Zach opened the door
