The team-building event of clearing out Inferi came to a hasty end in early February, much to the regret of the Defence Association members. They had grown rather fond of these group Inferi-hunting activities. They were far more fun than staying cooped up in the Shelter practising magic all day. Especially now that they had acted together so often, their coordination had improved by leaps and bounds, and they had begun to grasp the knack of fighting in cooperation.
However, after learning that Voldemort had returned to Britain, such high-profile team-building activities were no longer appropriate.
After all, Voldemort was still highly intimidating, and more importantly, they simply could not defeat him.
Otherwise, they truly would not have minded using Voldemort's name as bait for Dark wizards.
As for those people who had recently begun growing smug again, all they needed was to visit Albert and experience the gap between them firsthand. Once they clearly understood the difference between themselves and Albert—and Voldemort—none of them would be stupid enough to loudly proclaim that they wanted to defeat Voldemort.
"You'll crush their confidence if you do that."
"They really need taking down a peg, so they don't get too restless and cocky. Especially while Lord Voldemort is back in Britain—we can't let them stir up trouble." Albert had great faith in everyone's ability to make trouble, which was why he had called them over for a reminder, lest they truly get carried away.
"You destroyed the Inferi the Death Eaters put so much effort into creating. They probably can't wait to kill you. Especially while Lord Voldemort is back in Britain, those Death Eaters will be particularly active. Even Dark wizards won't dare haggle in front of Lord Voldemort."
"We aren't idiots. We know what we can and can't do." Lee
