In the president's office at the Defence Association Headquarters, Shanna, who was sitting behind her desk handling the Association's daily affairs, looked up in surprise when she heard the door open.
"Well, this is rare. I thought you weren't coming today."
"I brought you some good news." Albert placed a newspaper on the desk.
After glancing at the news in the paper, Shanna's brows furrowed slightly, because she could not understand a word of it.
"So what if you understand several languages!"
She put down her Quill and grumbled as she picked up the newspaper, studying the photograph on the front page before looking up and asking, "I can't read it. What good news is on there?"
"A group of Dark wizards attacked the International Wizarding Federation's venue, killing three council members and seriously injuring several others, who were hospitalized."
Albert was in high spirits as he spoke of it. He had never expected things to go so smoothly.
The Felix Felicis he had given Kingsley had been meant to let Kingsley say Voldemort's name at the venue, drawing Lord Voldemort's minions there so those people who loved watching the spectacle could get a close look at them. The result had been most gratifying.
Shanna's eyes widened, and she turned her gaze back to the newspaper in her hand, as though trying to glean something from it.
