In the dim study, Albert stared at the figure in the Two-Way Mirror, his expression particularly complicated. He suddenly asked, "He came to see you?"

"He did, not long ago." The young man in the mirror suddenly smiled and said in a strange tone, "He was very sincere. He came to see me himself. We talked for a long time that day and finally reached an agreement."

"Some things have no turning back," Albert reminded him.

"A way back?" The man in the mirror suddenly laughed. "I don't need one."

"As long as you don't regret it." Albert nodded.

"Regret it? Of course not."

It was as though he had heard something amusing and had to force himself not to laugh aloud.

"Someone has to do certain things. We can't let everyone die for nothing."

"Even if it means becoming someone else's pawn?"

"What are you implying?" The man raised an eyebrow slightly.

"You know perfectly well, don't you?"

"Looks like that man is even more hated than expected!" he said with a soft laugh.

"I Divined his ending," Albert said.

"Did you tell him?"

The man seemed to care greatly about this. He believed Albert possessed that ability.

"No." Albert shook his head. "If I had, the prophecy's outcome would inevitably come true."

"No one will profit from it. Since he wants to use us to eliminate his rivals, he has to pay some price." The man spoke as though it were only natural. "Besides, that is his wish, isn't it? We're merely granting it."

"You had planned to do that from the beginning?" Albert asked.

"No, we weren't that cruel. We simply disliked him, that's all. But since he intends to use us and harm us, he can't blame us." The man looked at Albert through the mirror
