"Tell me why," Albert sighed.
He knew Isobel's personality all too well. There had to be a reason she had made that decision on her own.
Though he would not lose out either way, Isobel deciding for him still caught him somewhat by surprise.
"The Beauty Potion business is even more profitable than you expected. Catherine and the others need a stronger bond to tie down those profits." Katrina rarely saw Albert at a loss for words, and she was especially delighted by it. As expected, Isobel understands Albert best.
"Lovers aren't exactly a reliable bond," Albert said irritably.
"They all want to have your children."
Isobel stated that utterly explosive reason in a calm tone, leaving Albert too stunned to close his mouth.
"Whose stupid idea was that?"
Albert's expression was spectacular.
After living two lives, he had never imagined he would receive the treatment reserved for a rich, handsome man.
"Catherine's." Isobel smiled.
"She said that since everything would ultimately be inherited by your children anyway, nothing was a stronger bond than family and blood ties." Katrina added, "Besides, they don't need you to take responsibility for the children."
"You should know perfectly well that they just want to get more from me." Albert sighed and looked at Isobel. "Do you want more too?"
"I think they'll probably become your lovers anyway. Since it can't be avoided, I have no reason to stop it." Isobel showed no guilt at all, calmly stating it as though she were merely explaining a fact. "Besides, I think it's good for everyone. Everyone wins. Since it's a win-win situation, there's even less reason to refuse."
That was one of the main reasons Isobel had agreed to Catherine's proposal.
"A win-win situation?"
Albert truly did not want to discuss this so-called win-win situation
