"Your body has gotten so much worse."
Hermione traced circles over Albert's chest with her finger, her tone brimming with resentment.
"Looks like you've been having a wonderful time with them lately!"
"Ahem, I really have been neglecting exercise lately. On top of that, my routine hasn't been as regular as before." Albert coughed lightly, then added, "Catherine and the other two will be going back soon."
"I thought they'd already gone back. To make one big boss after another toss aside their work, you really are a terribly sinful man!"
Hermione envied and resented Catherine and the other two. As Albert's lover, she too wanted more of his affection. Especially now that she had just tasted love for the first time, she desperately longed to be nourished by it.
"Money isn't actually that important to people who are especially rich." Albert was not short of money himself, nor did he care much about it. Noticing Hermione's resentful gaze, he quickly changed the subject. "Have you decided what you want to do in the future?"
"Yes. I still plan to join the Ministry of Magic after graduating from Hogwarts next year and do something I want to do."
Even though becoming Albert's lover had given her an easier path for the future, Hermione still had not given up on her original plans for her life.
Though he had known this would be the outcome long ago, Albert still reminded her, "Even if Kingsley becomes the New Minister, he still won't be able to change the Ministry of Magic's atmosphere. It'll be very hard for you."
"You don't seem to want me to work at the Ministry of Magic." Hermione raised her head to look at Albert's face, surprised by his words.
