War Without Victors (120): "How many werewolves has that been?"

Under the cover of night, a figure drew closer by the light of the Magic Lamp mounted before the Flying Broom.

"The thirteenth."

Truman looked down at the ground illuminated by the Magic Lamp. A werewolf was tightly bound by sturdy vines.

"They really think highly of us," someone beside him remarked softly.

"Stop chatting over there. If it breaks free, who knows how long it'll take us to catch it again."

Kenneth descended on his broom, looked at the werewolf trapped by the vines, and raised his wand. The other young wizards around him followed suit.

"Stunning Spell!" they shouted in unison.

A series of dazzling red flashes then struck the trapped werewolf below.

There was no denying that werewolves became much more resistant to Charms after transforming under the Full Moon. Ordinary spells were indeed less effective against them, but that did not mean they were useless. Especially when several wizards cast together—even a thick-skinned dragon could be brought down by Stunning Spells, let alone a werewolf. Naturally, it was knocked unconscious without any surprise.

After the bound werewolf collapsed unconscious, several wizards skilled in Transfiguration Spells raised their wands again and sealed it into the ground. Even if it woke up again, it likely would not be able to struggle free from the earth.
