Thinking Walk
As he spoke, Dagworth handed the test tube containing the Baruffio's Brain Elixir to Albert. Albert took it, wiped the rim of the bottle, and took a small sip. The moment he swallowed the drug, Albert felt his brain was very relaxed and his thinking was more active than ever before.
"How are you feeling?" Dagworth noticed the change in Albert's expression and asked with a smile.
"My brain is very active." Albert closed his eyes, feeling the changes in himself. "It feels a bit like Brain Boosting Potion."
"Brain Boosting Potion?" Dagworth shook his head. "Brain Boosting Potion can only make the drinker's thinking clearer, but it cannot make a person's mind more active, nor can it improve a person's memory in a short period of time. You will soon find that after drinking this stuff, your mind will become particularly agile."
Dagworth was right; Albert could clearly feel that he was indeed thinking more easily than before, and his memory was also better.
The Potions was incredibly effective. Albert pulled out his notebook from his pocket and wrote down all the steps for brewing the Baruffio's Brain Elixir.
However, what puzzled him was that the "Open Mind" task on the panel was not completed, which obviously required the use of undiluted Baruffio's Brain Elixir.
"Can I try that?" Albert pointed to the undiluted Baruffio's Brain Elixir.
"You're playing with fire, and this is not fun at all." Dagworth suddenly became a little angry. "Even if I have a lot of confidence in the potion I brew, I don't recommend that you take the risk. It's not worth the danger you're facing."
"It's worth it, and I have a lot of faith in you," Albert winked at Dagworth and said earnestly.
Dagworth fell into a brief silence. Although he was pleased with Albert's trust, he took a deep breath and nodded, "This is the only time. Once I find you taking such a risk again, I will no longer offer you any help."
"Thank you, what's the dosage?" Albert grinned.
"One sip is enough, about a third of the liquid in the test tube. Don't be too greedy." Dagworth glared at Albert; he really didn't like the other man taking risks.
It would be a huge loss to accidentally cripple this genius. Even if taking undiluted Baruffio's Brain Elixir could develop a person's brain, it wouldn't be worth Albert taking such a risk.
"I promise there won't be a next time," Albert said, patting his chest. As for how credible that statement was, that remains to be seen.
"Wait until the effects wear off before drinking it. You didn't drink much just now, so the effects will start to wear off in about half an hour. Before that, let's talk about the formula for the Baruffio's Brain Elixir Agent." Dagworth began to lecture.
To be honest, his lecturing was even worse Snape's, with a bunch of technical jargon that left people dizzy.
However, Albert was able to understand, after all, he had a solid foundation in Potions with the help of the panel, and after upgrading the Baruffio's Brain Elixir skill, he had gained some understanding of this potion, and he did not forget to try to propose some potentially useful improvement plans, which made Dagworth even more eager to back out.
If drinking the Potions resulted in poisoning, that would be one thing, but as long as he was here, Dagworth was confident he could concoct an antidote in a short time.
But Baruffio's Brain Elixir is different. This stuff damages the brain. If a person's brain is damaged, even if it is cured later, other problems may arise. He was really worried about Albert's situation.
However, Dagworth could understand why Albert wanted to take the risk and Baruffio's Brain Elixir; smart people don't give up on becoming smarter, even though in his eyes it wasn't worth the risk for Albert.
"How is it?" Dagworth asked anxiously as he watched Albert drink the undiluted Baruffio's Brain Elixir.
"Great!" Albert took a deep breath. The feeling was more than just mentally invigorating. The undiluted version was several times stronger than the diluted Baruffio's Brain Elixir. Basically, as long as the brain was slightly activated, it was easy to find the answer or the solution to the problem.
"Any discomfort?"
"No, let me think." Albert sat in the armchair, his fingers interlaced, preparing to ponder some questions while the drug was still in effect.
Especially the parts that we didn't understand before.
Back then, I asked Professor Flitwick about the spell and the key to the Ravenclaw's Chamber.
Dagworth stared blankly at Albert, who was sitting with his arms crossed in an armchair. He didn't understand what was going on. While Dagworth was still in a daze, Albert's thoughts had already gone through several twists and turns.
He realized that the question he had asked Professor Flitwick was flawed, and that Professor Flitwick had likely already discovered it.
Although Albert speaks other languages, he has never actually used them to cast spells. Moreover, wizarding spells have little to do with English; the vast majority of spells originate from Latin, which was used in Ancient Rome.
However, Latin is no longer used in most countries. Although many countries in Europe use languages that evolved from Latin, this ancient language has changed.
Of course, wizards' spells are not limited to Latin; other languages can also be used. As Professor Flitwick said, the essence of magic is incantations.
What about Runic Script?
These letters, which they believe to possess a certain magic, originate from Northern Europe mythology, but there is no doubt that languages Runic Script, Latin, and even Goblin language have been used for casting spells.
Is it due to different magical systems, or some other reason? Perhaps only by truly mastering Ancient Runes can one find the key to open the next door.
With the help of the Baruffio's Brain Elixir, Albert suddenly understood many things. When he opened his eyes again, he immediately took out his Fountain Pen and scribbled down what he had just thought of in his notebook.
"It's over?"
Albert put away his notebook and saw Dagworth drinking milk tea next to him.
"Well, it works great, but if you rely on it too much, it can make you stupid." Albert picked up his teacup and took a sip; the milk tea had gone cold.
"It's better for the brain to be used on its own."
"I'm glad to hear you say that," Dagworth nodded in satisfaction. "There's one more thing I need to remind you. After drinking the undiluted Baruffio's Brain Elixir, you'll feel very tired once the effects wear off completely. However, this is normal. I suggest you go back to the castle to rest now. Of course, you can also rest here, and I'll have Jella take you back to the castle after you wake up."
