Witnessing History
Albert never thought Katrina needed his help, nor did he believe she would accept his kindness. He had known her for over a year and considered himself fairly familiar with Katrina personality.
The McDougal sisters are both known for their stubborn personalities, Isobel probably knows this well. She likely just said it casually and didn't expect Albert to be of any real help.
Albert didn't pay much attention to it; he had plenty of other things to do and didn't have the time or inclination to focus on Katrina.
However, he visited Professor Smith more often, who politely declined to teach Albert how to use the Undetectable Extension Charm. While this was somewhat expected, Albert was still slightly disappointed, especially by Professor Smith's excuse, which left him speechless.
The Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor believed that Albert should focus his limited energy on the study of Ancient Runes, and even patted his chest to guarantee that Albert would definitely become a famous Runes Master when he came of age.
Albert believed Professor Smith's words, and was even more confident than the professor, but becoming Runes Master was not his life goal.
As for wanting to learn the Undetectable Extension Charm?
Professor Smith secretly hinted to Albert that he would teach him the Undetectable Extension Charm if Albert could help him open the entrance to the Ravenclaw's Chamber.
Don't ask Albert how he knew; the task popped up on the panel, and he couldn't help but understand the other party's hints.
For some reason, Albert felt that there was something wrong with Professor Smith. Perhaps it was some kind of psychological suggestion, but in any case, he became more wary of this professor with whom he used to have a good relationship.
I always felt that the other party wanted to make a big splash.
Of course, this did not stop Albert from continuing to ask Professor Smith for advice on magic.
The other party is quite capable in some aspects; otherwise, Katrina wouldn't have come to him hoping that Professor Smith could provide her with extra guidance.
Everyone has a bit of a competitive spirit, and Katrina was no exception; she believed she was second to none. However, Katrina was born at the wrong time, a rather tragic fate. After being thoroughly outmatched by her sister and Albert, a classmate, she finally faced the harsh reality.
Her current goal is to catch up with the two of them, so that she won't be left far behind until she can't even see their backs anymore.
Katrina suddenly started asking Albert for advice more often.
Having never been a tutor in his past life, Albert wasn't exactly a good teacher, so Katrina often only received answers from him.
However, for a genius like Katrina, having an answer is enough; geniuses can always eliminate the unnecessary and find what suits them best.
Katrina is progressing very quickly and has already surpassed all her classmates except Albert.
Time moves forward slowly, like a snail.
As the end of January finally approaches, the Wizard Card Club's end-of-month gathering begins once again.
This time, the number of students attending the gathering was significantly reduced, and only 34 members were willing to sign up for the competition.
Lee Jordan muttered something under his breath, seemingly feeling that The Wizard Card Club had missed its best opportunity to grow.
Albert, however, did not think so. The Wizard Club was no longer as popular as it used to be. Most people were just interested for a short time, so it was not surprising that the number of people had decreased. After all, it was not a very close-knit club.
"I estimate that in a few months, all the club members will have left." Lee Jordan was very anxious; he had put a lot of effort into the first Wizard Card Competition.
However, the improvements to Wizard Card are also progressing slowly, and it will probably be very difficult to satisfy everyone! "No matter how anxious you are, it's no use. As a new game, Wizard Card needs to be able to withstand the test of time," Albert said calmly.
Recently, he spent a lot of time finally finishing reading the two books, "Ultimate Transfiguration" and "Extraordinary Transfiguration," but he didn't gain much. The only change was that he gained some experience with the Transformation Charm skill.
After Albert finished reading the Transformation Charm, he used his experience to level up his skill to level two and then began trying to create a new batch of Wizard Card, but the result did not satisfy him.
The inability to make subtle changes, especially the images on the wizard cards, was a complete mess. This frustrated Albert for a long time, and he even wondered if it was because he couldn't use the Transfiguration Spell skillfully.
Professor McGonagall believed that Albert was overly ambitious.
Despite this, the Transfiguration Professor was still very satisfied with his student's talent.
"These are the latest improved Wizard Card." Albert distributed his newly created Lee Jordan cards, pointing to the contents and explaining, "I've cast a Transformation Charm on the cards. Once the contents of my main card change, everyone's cards will change."
As he spoke, Albert gave a simple demonstration. "The Wizard Card will become more and more exquisite, but it needs enough time, and we are now witnessing its growth and changes."
"You can cast Transformation Charm?" Several upperclassmen were shocked to hear that Albert had actually cast Transformation Charm on the Wizard Card.
"But that's... N. E. W. Ts level!"
I don't know who spoke for everyone.
Albert is only in second grade! He's only in second grade now!
Damn it, does genius mean you can do whatever you want? Field observed the shocked expressions on the faces of the others around her with great interest; she was the first to know that Albert had learned the Transformation Charm.
Because it was she who helped Albert initially learn and practice the Transformation Charm.
To be honest, Albert learned how to use the Transformation Charm in a very short time, which greatly surprised her.
However, because they often attended the Transfiguration Club together, Field knew Albert's expertise in Transfiguration well, unlike the group in front of him who were behaving so erratically.
Truman's expression was complicated as he realized that his former friend had completely surpassed him in magical skill.
No wonder their correspondence decreased significantly last year; the two of them almost stopped talking about their studies altogether.
So it's no longer needed? It would be a lie to say he wasn't jealous at all, but Truman still admired Albert's abilities and was prepared to switch their positions so that he could consult Albert himself.
"Cough cough!"
Albert cleared his throat twice, signaling everyone to remain quiet for the moment. Then, he explained the rules of the competition and stated that only 32 players were needed, asking if anyone was willing to withdraw voluntarily.
However, people are now more interested in Albert himself than in the Wizard Card Competition, and they've started whispering and speculating about just how good Albert has become.
"Rumor has it that you and Isobel are in a relationship, is that true?" It was Field who asked, this guy was just trying to cause trouble.
Albert couldn't help but roll his eyes at Field, then coughed lightly and said, "Let's finalize the roster for the Wizard Card Competition first, then I'll answer your question when I have time."
The previously slow progress suddenly sped up considerably, and two girls even said they would withdraw on the spot, as they seemed to prefer hearing all sorts of interesting gossip.
"We're just friends." Albert handed the notebook containing the registration list to Lee Jordan next to him and smiled at everyone. "Well then, I'll be going now."
Before anyone could react, Albert had vanished in a flash.
