I Want to Cheat
How to cover up unpleasant memories?
That is to numb yourself with busy work, so that you don't have the mind to recall those unpleasant memories.
Despite Gryffindor Team's three consecutive defeats, Charlie, the Quidditch players, and even Gryffindor did not fall into a negative mood. The dreaded shadow of Final Exam quietly loomed over the entire school.
Fifth and seventh graders are working hard for their respective OWLs and NEWTs exams, spending most of their free time studying. The tense exam atmosphere has even spread throughout the school and affected students in other grades.
Charlie was no exception; he hoped to graduate from school with excellent grades in the NEWTs exam, laying a solid foundation for his future work.
Even though he is now the Quidditch captain, he has no time to think about the future of the Quidditch team.
Even the mischievous Weasley Twins had to copy Albert's notes and memorize the so-called key points for the exam.
Lee Jordan is in a better situation than the other two. He doesn't need to do Quidditch training regularly, and his notes are organized on time. Now he just needs to memorize the key points and practice a few spells again.
However, he is not as talented in magic Twins and needs to spend more time practicing Charms.
However, what infuriated the three the most was Albert's attitude towards the Final Exam; it really was a case of "no comparison, no harm."
That guy could even find time to leisurely stroll outdoors in the bright sunshine, sometimes even sitting under the shade of a tree with an ice -Butterbeer, reading unimportant books, or taking the time to go to Hagrid for afternoon tea, while playing a few rounds of Wizard Card and inquiring about Rowena Smith's whereabouts.
Currently, Hagrid has also been developed by Albert into a loyal supporter of Wizard Card, and even has his own cards. Fang has also successfully joined the Wizard Card.
While everyone was busy studying for exams, Albert secretly leaked the news about the Baruffio's Brain Elixir, and the students, who had been struggling with exams, immediately turned their attention to the Wizard Card Competition.
Some people don't mind spending money to cheat and pass an exam smoothly; they're even willing to pay for it.
This tactic really worked. Shortly after the news was released, a fifth-year Ravenclaw student secretly approached Albert, hoping to buy the bottle of Baruffio's Brain Elixir from him at a high price.
However, Albert politely declined, suggesting that the other party could make the deal with the current Wizard Card champion.
The man was stunned by Albert's words, and couldn't understand why Albert wouldn't make money with Galleon. In Albert's eyes, a few Galleon were naturally not as valuable as the reward for the "small tournament" mission.
That bottle of Baruffio's Brain Elixir Baruffio's Brain Elixir be a great gimmick, forcing fifth and seventh graders who want it to refocus their attention on the Wizard Card Competition.
At the very least, they need to keep an eye on those athletes with the potential to win the championship, so that after they win, they can make a private deal with them and, through the champion's connections, get that bottle of Baruffio's Brain Elixir from Albert.
If I could get my hands on this great item, the exam would definitely go much more smoothly.
After all, the Ministry of Magic hasn't been testing students for Baruffio's Brain Elixir for a long time; their testing methods are more focused on the Brain Boosting Potion students learn in their Fourth Year.
Unfortunately, they were unaware that all those Small Tricks were exactly what Albert had anticipated.
For Albert, it doesn't matter who wins the championship. Even if they want to use the Baruffio's Brain Elixir to exchange for Galleon, or cheat, it has nothing to do with Albert.
He simply wanted to use the students' curiosity and desire for the Baruffio's Brain Elixir to complete the task of the "mini-competition".
On the day of the match, the audience consisted of almost half of the Hogwarts students, making it a scene comparable to a Quidditch Match.
Lee Jordan, who was in charge of the commentary, almost stammered.
Not everyone is interested in Wizard Card; it's more a matter of curiosity. Seeing so many people gathered around, even if they don't know what everyone is doing, they still gravitate towards the crowd to watch the spectacle.
Finally, even the professors found out, but since Albert had Dumbledore's permission beforehand, even Snape had no interest in going to do something that would be pointless.
The remaining matches were of a very high standard, and Angelina's luck finally ran out. In the semifinals, she unfortunately ran into Truman and was eliminated.
Shanna, on the other hand, was very resilient and fought her way into the finals, where she finally faced Truman.
"Regardless of who wins, as long as you choose that potion, I'm willing to pay 15 Galleon to buy it from you," a Ravenclaw student said to the two, pulling out Galleon on the spot to show his sincerity.
This huge sum of money caused many people to give up immediately, but his action undoubtedly told others that he was going to cheat.
Shanna and Truman both looked at Albert, seemingly wanting to see his reaction, worried that Albert might sell the Baruffio's Brain Elixir on the spot.
Five Galleon can make many students abandon all sense of decency.
"My word is law. It's your business if you want to sell." Albert shrugged, indicating that it was up to them.
Money is one of the best forms of stimulation.
Upon hearing Albert's words, Shanna and Truman became extremely excited.
With this money, they can buy many things they want.
Both became more cautious, and the match grew longer. After an hour-long duel, Shanna defeated Truman and broke through the encirclement. Shanna won the Baruffio's Brain Elixir and made a deal with the seventh-year students of Ravenclaw.
Whether the senior student used it in the exam is not something Albert needs to concern himself with.
In short, after the Wizard Card Competition ended, the last eight players each received a large glass of chilled Butterbeer.
Truman was disappointed; he was the runner-up, and his prize was a beautiful notebook and a Quill.
The third place went to Ravenclaw student Eddie Cammitchell. His prize was a small keg Butterbeer Butterbeer, which he generously shared with everyone on the spot. The Wizard Card Competition ended amidst laughter.
Later, Albert heard that the guy who got the Baruffio's Brain Elixir from Shanna was being watched by Snape, apparently because someone had told the Potions Professor.
Baruffio's Brain Elixir is a contraband product of the Ministry of Magic, Snape would naturally not allow such a dangerous potion to appear in the school, especially with exams approaching. Even a fool could tell what that guy wanted to do with Baruffio's Brain Elixir.
