Hermione's Diary
At her desk, Hermione rested her chin on her hands, gazing blankly at the snowy scene outside the window.
Just now, Hermione finished her holiday homework ahead of schedule and was flipping through her diary, reflecting on what had happened to her at Hogwarts.
From receiving the letter from the owl to going to Hogwarts School Witchcraft and Wizardry, everything changed in just a few months—it was simply incredible.
Now, Hermione has made two good friends at school, a mysterious upperclassman, and a very fat British Shorthair Cat.
School life is more interesting than expected, and Hermione and her two friends are even tracking down a man named Nicolas Flamel.
Unfortunately, they still have no clue as of now, and her family doesn't know who Nicolas Flamel is.
Suddenly, she heard an owl hooting outside the window. She immediately leaned out the window and hurried downstairs to see who had sent her a letter.
"Mom, I just heard an owl hooting. Have you seen my letter?"
Hermione went downstairs to the living room and asked her family members who were watching TV.
Her father handed her a letter with a big smile. Dentist Granger, had been worried that his daughter hadn't made any friends at school.
However, it seems that my daughter has indeed found a friend.
They were somewhat relieved that she hadn't lied to them about what she had said before.
Hermione glanced at the sender; it was a letter from Harry.
She unwrapped the letter as she walked towards her room. The letter was short, briefly mentioning that Professor Snape had sent Albert a Christmas present.
That disgusting-looking gift was eventually given by Harry to Malfoy.
Malfoy? Hermione recalled the name, feeling no liking for the blond boy from Slytherin. She didn't intentionally exclude others, but Slytherin students were indeed quite unpleasant.
She thought Albert's assessment was very accurate: Malfoy was just a spoiled child.
As for Snape, Hermione had a very poor impression of the Potions Professor, especially after Snape attempt to murder Harry with Dark Curse during the Quidditch Match. She even questioned why Dumbledore would choose such a professor to teach Potions Class.
Don't tell her that Snape wanted to throw Harry off the broom just to stop Gryffindor Team from beating Slytherin Team and winning that Quidditch Match.
If that were really the case, it would be terrifying.
Moreover, it's quite puzzling that someone like Snape would give Christmas presents.
Speaking of Christmas gifts, Hermione was a little upset because she hadn't received any gifts from anyone other than her parents.
Hermione's relationship with the girls in her dormitory was only so-so; they weren't close enough to exchange gifts. Harry and Ron, who were closer to her, had clearly forgotten about it.
From the very beginning, Hermione didn't expect Harry and Ron to give her Christmas presents; she even doubted whether the two of them had any such idea in their blockheads.
She was upset that she didn't receive any Christmas greetings or even a card from her friends, even though she had expected it to be like this.
Harry's letter was short, Hermione read it quickly. It only mentioned that Snape had given Albert a gift and that Albert had agreed to let him handle the gift. There was no mention of Nicolas Flamel.
In fact, Hermione never expected Harry and Ron to find any information about Nicolas Flamel. How could she expect two guys who weren't keen on going to the library to sit down and slowly search for information about Nicholas? Maybe they had already forgotten about it.
If the best way to find out who Nicolas Flamel is is to start with Albert, the genius seems unwilling to involve the three of them in the item Dumbledore placed in the Fourth Floor Forbidden Area Corridor.
Hermione took out her Wizard Card from the box and spent a little time placing Albert's card on top of the Card Set.
Hermione used to think of herself as a little genius, but after meeting Albert, she finally understood what a genius really was.
Albert not only excelled academically and had strong expertise in many fields, but also published several of his own papers in magazines, which received positive feedback.
Moreover, he created card games like Wizard Card, which gained widespread support in schools.
Is this really something a college student could do? And how old is he?
Every time I hear about Albert's deeds, I feel that he is simply no ordinary person.
What Albert Prophecy might actually be true; perhaps he foresaw something, which is why he doesn't want them involved.
Hermione felt something was strange. It wasn't that she didn't believe Albert's Prophecy, but rather that the ambiguous nature of the Prophecy made it seem like a lie no matter how you looked at it.
She hadn't forgotten that Albert had said he would find a friend before winter, and although she did eventually find a friend, it didn't seem to have much to do with the Prophecy.
Ultimately, it depends on oneself.
Were you scammed?
Was this a white lie? Albert must have realized it, which is why he told himself that back then.
She should thank the other party.
In fact, Hermione did just that; when she gave Albert her Christmas present, she also included a thank-you note.
Hermione had a slight admiration for that genius senior. She collected several of Albert's papers published in magazines, but unfortunately, she hadn't been able to understand them yet.
In the dormitory, her roommates would occasionally talk about Albert. They all admired him to some extent. Outstanding boys always become the topic of conversation among girls, let alone Genius Wizard as outstanding as Albert.
Many people see Albert as the next Dumbledore.
Hermione thought that was true; she wasn't actually that close to Albert, they'd barely exchanged a few words. However, she was very familiar with Albert's cat, having fed it quite a bit last semester.
She hopes that one day she can become good friends with Albert.
Oh, right, I also asked him to help translate the parchment I found. I wonder how the translation is going.
Thinking about it, Hermione suddenly felt annoyed at her own rashness; she had indeed been a bit too demanding when she asked for help.
If Albert really helps me with the translation, I must thank him properly.
With that thought in mind, she put Harry's letter away and began writing in her diary for the day.
