Isobel found it amusing to look at Albert's embarrassed reflection in the Two-Way Mirror; it had been a long time since he had seen anything stump him.
She certainly didn't think that Albert was a womanizer just because he talked to pretty girls a few more times. Just like some of her friends, even though they had boyfriends, they still liked to gossip about which boys in school were more handsome.
However, Albert did get himself into some trouble; it's estimated that gossip and scandals about him are circulating throughout the British magical world.
"Isobel, are you upstairs?"
Mrs. McDougal's voice came from downstairs, causing the girl's smile to vanish instantly.
"I'm upstairs, what's up?" Isobel replied, opening the door.
"Get down, I have something to tell you."
Isobel took a deep look at the Two-Way Mirror in the room and couldn't help but sigh softly, "What was bound to happen has finally happened."
After she came downstairs, Mrs. McDougal asked bluntly, "Is there something wrong with that Anderson you told me about last time?"
As she spoke, Mrs. McDougal spread a newspaper on the table; it was the Daily Prophet that Isobel had just shown Albert.
To prevent this from happening, Isobel had taken away the newspapers from the last few days, but it still happened anyway.
"Mom, you should know what the Daily Prophet is like," Isobel explained with a hint of exasperation. "They'll make up any lie to grab attention, especially that woman Rita Skeeter."
Mrs. McDougal looked at her daughter, sighed, and said, "I just wanted to remind you that if that Anderson is really like what the newspapers say, dump him as soon as possible, lest you regret it later..."
"Alright, Mom, you should trust my judgment." Isobel felt a little tired. Many people in the Wizarding World believed the reports in the Daily Prophet, and very few wizards could actively sift out useful information from the newspapers.
"Of course I believe you," Mrs. McDougal, looking at her daughter, hesitant to speak. She was actually worried about her daughter getting hurt emotionally.
After all, the fact that she had mentioned her boyfriend to me shows that Anderson held a significant place in her heart.
"Don't worry about me. If there's nothing else, I'll go upstairs now." With that, Isobel prepared to go upstairs to complain to Albert about the matter.
"Katrina, do you think Isobel just now..." Mrs. McDougal turned to look at her other daughter.
"Isobel isn't so easily fooled." Katrina carefully chose her words, and she didn't think Albert would be a womanizer who juggled multiple relationships.
Unfortunately, Albert had a good reputation at school. Although rumors were always flying around, she still envied his relationship with Isobel.
"You were in the same year as that Anderson, right? What kind of person is he?" Mrs. McDougal asked.
"He's a very capable person." Katrina thought for a moment and then added, "Many girls at school like him. As for whether it's like what's described in the newspapers, I think it's hard for anyone to deceive Isobel. She can always see through everything easily."
"Women's IQ always drops rapidly when they're in love. Otherwise, your father wouldn't have been able to win me over," Mrs. McDougal sighed softly.
She happened to see the news about this while resting in the hospital. She then turned down her work at the hospital, intending to fulfill her responsibilities as a mother and comfort her daughter. However, the situation seemed to be quite different from what she had imagined.
Did she misunderstand something? Katrina felt that Isobel probably guessed that this might happen, which was why he had secretly hidden the newspapers from the past few days.
In the end, they were discovered.
Upstairs in the room, Isobel was complaining to Albert about the matter.
However, Albert encountered the same problem the next day.
His family has returned.
"Albert, we will never stop you from having girlfriends, but being a womanizer is wrong, it will only hurt your girlfriends."
Across from the sofa, Daisy and Herb were earnestly giving Albert a pep talk.
"A boy shouldn't be unfaithful, after all, you only have one future wife."
Well! Actually, the the Andersons felt that since they finally had this opportunity, they shouldn't let it pass by and take on the responsibility of educating their children as parents.
The couple talked about this before going to bed yesterday.
After all, their son is so popular, he probably already has a girlfriend at school, he just hasn't told them yet.
If that's the case, then being unfaithful is a serious problem. Moreover, even if he doesn't have a girlfriend, the couple doesn't support long-distance relationships.
"Mom, Albert doesn't have a girlfriend!" Nia reminded her from the side. "Also, I don't support Albert's cross-cultural relationship."
Albert looked at his sister speechlessly. Was she cursing him to be single forever? "Does Tom have a female cat he likes?" Albert changed the subject. He felt he should find a female cat for his Tom, even though Tom might already have one he liked.
"Son, don't change the subject." Herb said knowingly, "A man must be faithful, otherwise he will definitely be disliked by girls in the future."
"Isn't it said that girls like bad boys?" Albert finally couldn't help but complain.
"Alright, alright, I know what you're trying to say, but the news in the newspapers is all fake, just creating some scandals to attract everyone's attention."
"The girl in this photo is Louise. Remember the witch we met when we went on our last ski vacation in France?" Albert put Tom on the table, pointed to the black-and-white photo in the newspaper, and said, "That was just a normal France greeting kiss. And shouldn't you be more concerned about my winning the championship?"
As he spoke, Albert took out the trophy and placed it on the table.
"And this one is from when I visited my old friend's granddaughter in the United States. I asked her to take me to buy souvenirs for you. As for this photo, it's because I refused to be interviewed by United States reporters that they fabricated this gossip. I don't think you could possibly not know about it."
"Well, son, Daisy and I think this is a good opportunity." Herb coughed and reminded him, "You're almost an adult (16 is the age of majority in the Britain), and Daisy and I both think you should find a girlfriend. If you already have a girl you like, remember to bring her back for us to see."
"Why are you in such a hurry?" Albert was quite speechless.
"How can you not be anxious?" Daisy couldn't help but complain. "Your Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is only in the seventh year. You'll graduate after that. There are so few students. If you don't meet a girl you like, where will you find a suitable one later?"
"We know you'll definitely choose a wizard," Herb chimed in, "So we need to act quickly."
"Okay, if I find her, I'll remember to invite her to our house." Albert's lips twitched slightly. In his previous life, his family would never have allowed them to date during junior and senior high school.
It just goes to show that different countries, different worlds, different treatment.
"Okay, that's good to know." Daisy added, "Also, we don't support your long-distance relationship, it's too hard for you."
"Alright, maybe we should discuss Tom's mate situation. He's getting quite old, and it would be a bit cruel for Tom to grow old alone." Albert forcibly changed the subject, feeling utterly exhausted.
Is it true that book titles on Qidian (a Chinese online literature platform) can only have nine characters? I remember the title I submitted was "Days Studying at Hogwarts".
The word "at" is missing, which feels a bit strange. I should have changed it to "The Hogwarts Survival Guide".
Yes, the cover will be changed soon.
