The Transfiguration Club gathering lasted until nine in the evening before Albert returned to Gryffindor Common Room with Field and Baker.
The dormitory was pitch-black. Fred and George had not returned yet, and Lee Jordan had vanished who knew where. Albert was the only one there.
After lighting the candleholder on the table, Albert carried the teapot to the Common Room. He planned to make himself a cup of milk tea as a proper reward. Tonight's Transfiguration Club gathering had cost the brain-working Albert quite a few brain cells.
There were always two large teapots in Gryffindor Common Room. During winter, the house-elves provided Gryffindor students with warm water.
If students wanted tea, they could put the pots in the fireplace and boil the water themselves.
Of course, older students only needed to wave their wands to use magic to boil the water in the teapot.
A few minutes later, Albert returned to the dormitory carrying the boiled teapot. He took a tin from his trunk, filled with Milk Tea Powder. The milk tea it made tasted merely average, but he did not care and prepared himself a cup.
Uh, where was the cup? Albert looked around, his gaze landing on a teacup atop the cabinet. He took it down and washed it clean, poured in some milk tea powder and a sugar cube, then added boiling water and stirred it contentedly with a spoon.
"Feels pretty good."
Just as Albert lifted the cup to drink, his hand paused. Suspiciously, he brought the teacup before his eyes and examined it closely.
