The Gap Between People. Triggering the "Innocent Dog" task through Phineas had left Albert fairly satisfied overall.

Albert had actually been trying to trigger the "Rescue Black" task all along. There was no way he was going to work for free.

As for whether Phineas was simply casting a wide net or truly believed Albert could save Black, Albert did not care in the slightest.

As long as the Task Panel offered a Galleon reward, he was not worried about the other party reneging.

Perhaps trying to get money from a portrait was indeed unreliable, but once he completed the task, the panel would not short him a single Galleon.

Where would the money come from? Naturally, the Black family would pay for it.

"Now that the 'Rescue Hippogriff' task has been completed," Albert murmured as he reviewed the tasks on the panel, "the next step is settling the grudge between Black, the black dog, and Peter the rat."

He had more or less dismantled the original plot, but Albert was not worried at all. He had already figured out what to do next: one day, he would toss Crookshanks over to Hagrid's place, and Peter would have no choice but to flee in panic.

Still, the number and quality of tasks triggered by this matter were rather disappointing.

Aside from "dead man" and "Uncover Secrets," which had been triggered earlier, there was only the newly triggered "Innocent Dog."

"Expel Dementors," which had been triggered some time ago, could barely be considered related, but its rewards were fairly mediocre.

It would have been nice if he could trigger a few more tasks related to Black.
