Quidditch Showdown

The Gryffindor Team and the Slytherin Team had left their respective changing rooms and marched onto the Quidditch Pitch in neat lines. Once both sides entered, a strong smell of gunpowder gradually filled the stadium. Before the match began, Wood and Marcus gripped each other's hands hard, as though each wanted to crush the other's fingers.

Lee Jordan, as usual, served as commentator for the Quidditch Match. His slightly biased introduction of the two teams immediately drew a chorus of boos from the Slytherin students.

A moment later, Madam Hooch's whistle rang out over the pitch, but it was quickly swallowed by the crowd's roars, officially opening this dirty match.

Just as Albert had expected, the Quidditch Pitch had become a battlefield.

When Angelina scored the first ten points for Gryffindor and flew around the pitch waving her fist in excitement, she was targeted by Slytherin captain Marcus. He nearly rammed Angelina right off her Flying Broom.

The excited screams were replaced by anger, and cries of "Foul!" came wave after wave from the scarlet sea.

Although Marcus claimed he had not seen Angelina and offered her a thoroughly insincere apology, he still could not avoid a penalty.

Amid the spectators' cheers, Gryffindor scored again.

Of course, that was not going to be the end of it. Retaliation came swiftly.

Fred "happened" to fly past behind Marcus and "accidentally" struck the back of his head with his bat, sending the smug fellow face-first into his broom handle. A red mark rose on his forehead, and his nose began to bleed.

Fred was penalized by Madam Hooch for attacking a Slytherin player without cause.

The match continued, and the conflicts on the pitch began to escalate.

"That guy is absolutely disgusting. That was definitely deliberate."
