On the way to the Great Hall, Albert kept talking with Fred, George, and Lee Jordan about what had happened in Defence Against the Dark Arts. He noticed that the three of them had begun to suspect whether Professor Moody was really an impostor.
Albert was not surprised. What Professor Moody taught in class was heavily coloured by personal experience. Only someone who had been an Auror could teach them those lessons about fighting Dark wizards.
Albert had no intention of voicing an opinion on the matter. In his view, Fred, George, and Lee Jordan were taking it far too much for granted.
That man had risked his life to disguise himself as Professor Moody and infiltrate Hogwarts as a spy. He had not come to hand Dumbledore his head on a platter. How could he possibly let others spot the flaws at a glance?
If Albert had known nothing, he probably would have found it hard to see through Moody's disguise too.
Unfortunately, he knew everything, while Moody—oh, he should be called Little Barty—knew nothing.
He did not know that someone knew everything. Nor did he know that all the habits, mannerisms, and styles he had painstakingly pried out of Mad-Eye, all his efforts to make himself seem more like Mad-Eye, would amount to nothing when he ran into someone who had peeked at the script. What a tragic story.
The conversation soon turned to Wandless Magic. They were all envious of Albert's cool Wandless Magic techniques.
It could not be helped. That moment when Albert had brushed aside a spell with his hand had been unbelievably cool.
