"Harry mentioned in his letter that you were attacked." Sirius did not pursue that subject, instead bringing up something else that had been weighing on his mind.
Albert turned to look at Harry. The latter scratched his cheek awkwardly, clearly not expecting Sirius to bring it up directly with Albert.
"Yes, I suspect Peter Pettigrew was behind it." Albert withdrew his gaze from Harry and said to Sirius in the Two-Way Mirror, "I even made a prophecy specifically for it. Though it gave no precise prediction, the evidence did point to Peter Pettigrew. I have reason to believe he was responsible."
Hermione looked up at Albert, her eyes filled with concern. She knew Peter Pettigrew had been sent to Azkaban because of Albert. If he truly wanted revenge on Albert and meant to harm him because of it, the consequences would be unthinkable.

"I suppose so!" Sirius nodded. It was his responsibility as a godfather. He could not know Harry might be in danger and do nothing, simply watching Harry face the coming danger alone.
"Actually, you do not need a prophecy to guess that one of Lord Voldemort's lackeys threw Potter's name into the Goblet of Fire." Albert scooped up Crookshanks before it could knock over the Two-Way Mirror with its paws. "That should save you some money."
