On the other side of the maze, Little Barty lowered his wand and quietly watched Harry Potter lying unconscious on the ground, the corners of his mouth rising uncontrollably.
Harry Potter had been diligently practicing magic for the Third Task.
And what had it gotten him? Little Barty had used a Disillusionment Charm to hide himself, quietly waiting at the passage exit. Once Harry Potter emerged from the passage, he had cast a Stunning Spell at his back.
There had been no fierce resistance—no resistance at all, really. The famous Harry Potter had been subdued just like that. Even when he collapsed unconscious on the ground, he had no idea what had happened.
It was as though all of Harry's efforts over the past few days had been nothing more than a joke.
"If you'd stayed where you were and waited, I might've had to put in a little more effort." Little Barty pulled a scarf he had prepared earlier from his pocket, waved his wand over it, turned it into a Portkey, and tied it securely around Harry Potter's arm.
Then Little Barty stood nearby, took a pocket watch from his pocket, checked the time, and began the final countdown.
"...Three... two... one. Time's up!"
With a snap, Little Barty shut the pocket watch, and Harry Potter abruptly vanished from before him.
"If only that Mudblood had been as easy to deal with as you." Little Barty looked at the spot where Harry Potter had disappeared and breathed a sigh of relief. He had finally completed the task the Dark Lord had given him. Next, he needed to... buy enough time for the Dark Lord's resurrection!
Ideally, he would eliminate all the Champions. That would surely give them enough time.
