"I hate rain!"
Albert turned to look at the rain-spattered window and tapped the communication bookmark in his hand. He had been using it to keep in touch with Fred, George, and Lee Jordan on the train.
"I thought you liked rain!" Katrina also glanced out the window, then turned her gaze back to the communication bookmark in Albert's hand. "Have you been chatting with my sister this whole time?"
"Yes." Albert did not deny it. "I had nothing better to do. Talking to someone helps pass the boredom."
"Can you make one for me?" Katrina suddenly asked. "I can pay in Galleons."
"I'm not planning to sell them for now, but you can make one yourself. A Transformation Charm shouldn't be difficult for you!" Albert had no intention of spreading the things he had on hand too widely, lest they give Lord Voldemort's side an advantage in the coming war.
"So it isn't just a Transformation Charm?" Katrina did not believe that rubbish. The principle behind the communication bookmark might have been a Transformation Charm, but making one certainly could not be that simple. Anyone who believed otherwise was an idiot.
"Well, more or less. It's a more advanced application of the Transformation Charm." Albert put away the communication bookmark. He could feel the train slowing down.
"You're not planning to fulfil your responsibilities?" Katrina asked tentatively when she saw Albert preparing to leave directly. She felt she had guessed the answer.
"Leave keeping order to the Prefects. They need opportunities to practise too." Albert casually found an excuse for slacking off and followed the crowd towards the exit. After making sure there was no problem nearby, he turned to Katrina behind him. "You'd better not leave my sight."
