Background

Leina was nominally the Main God and Empress of Liesun, but her position initially carried little practical respect. Ministers treated her as too young to take seriously, while Pan Zhen and her grandfather, Di Hongkun, directed Liesun from behind the scenes. Pan Zhen secretly traded the underlying code of her Sunlight Super Gene to Karl, enabling Morgana to control Leina and use her in the attack that took Keisha offline. Afterwards, Leina was abandoned on Earth and captured by the Taotie. 33 104

Learning of Pan Zhen’s betrayal drove Leina into a destructive rage. Her uncontrolled Stellar Energy triggered alarms at Super God Academy; she destroyed a Hairy God sent to monitor her and directly threatened Pan Zhen through Dark Communication. 34 Her growing understanding of Liesun’s internal power structure culminated in the realization that Di Hongkun had survived as a Phantom Body inside the Heavenly Dao Tower and had ruled alongside Pan Zhen. 104

When the Angels moved against Pan Zhen and Di Hongkun, Leina chose to seize control of Liesun rather than allow the civilization to be dragged into war. She publicly agreed to compensation and Liesun’s submission to the Angels, while placing responsibility for the crisis on Pan Zhen. 126 134 After the old Liesun Star Core was projected to last only another month, she ordered an evacuation and oversaw reconstruction on a new planet. 135 148

As Liesun’s ruler, Leina investigated Karl’s remaining agents and secured the Sunlight Super Gene backup from the Heavenly Dao Tower, preventing Karl from easily reproducing Liesun’s Supernova capability. Nusa repeatedly targeted her for that data, severely injuring her during an ambush before Yun Zhao intervened. 148 150 151 325

Leina’s relationship with Yun Zhao developed from cooperation into a political and personal partnership. After becoming stranded with him in the Unknown Universe, she accepted his proposal to become Liesun’s Prince, strengthening the Angel–Liesun alliance. 162 With Angel technological support, she modernized Liesun’s forces, gained authority over its Mechanical Race Guardians, and led the civilization through rapid military expansion. 239 249 320

Leina is proud, expressive, and quick to call herself “this goddess.” She can be impulsive and dramatic, especially when insulted or when Liesun’s dignity is threatened. 33 34 Beneath that bravado, she is kind toward friends and deeply affected by betrayal from the people she was meant to lead. 34

Her experiences on Earth and the collapse of Pan Zhen’s control force her to mature quickly. Leina comes to understand that being Liesun’s Main God means carrying responsibility for a civilization’s security, reconstruction, research, affiliated worlds, and political stability. 160 320 321 Though still lively and occasionally mischievous, she becomes a pragmatic ruler willing to make difficult alliances and use her authority decisively. 134 247
