Yan is the daughter of Angel Yutong and inherited her mother's power of thunder. Before becoming queen, she served as Queen Keisha's Left Wing Guardian and earned the title Thunder War God. 91

After Yun Zhao's arrival, Yan was the first angel to directly meet him. Keisha instructed her to remain at his side, observe his unusual God's Punishment Angel Super Gene, and conceal that she could hear his inner thoughts. 2 3

When Keisha and Hexi revealed their succession plans, Yan learned that she had originally been intended to become Galaxy Strength's Guardian Angel. While observing the Super Soldier Company with Yun Zhao, Yan realizes that Galaxy Strength's Anti-Void potential is being misused by Du Kao's combat-focused training. She accepts Yun Zhao's argument that knowledge and resource creation are more important to Anti-Void development than simply training Galaxy Strength to wield a sword. 53
