Background / History

Maomao was found severely injured and starving in a Sunny City alley, where she collapsed before Xue Jing after revealing that she could speak human language. Her black fur was dirty and patchy, and she wore a platinum ring around her tail. Xue Jing took her home after his Skill Panel detected divinity in the ring. 3 4

The ring’s divinity was absorbed by Xue Jing’s panel, resulting in the creation of the Divinity Skill Twin Life. Maomao initially avoided explaining herself, pretending to be an ordinary cat even after Xue Jing confronted her about her speech and human eating habits. 4 5 6

After worrying that Xue Jing had been injured in a fight, Maomao finally dropped the act and revealed her real name: Ning Fengwan, Sect Leader of the Dragon Cult. She explained that the platinum tail ring was GOD-1391, a God Relic that had transformed her into a cat and initially prevented her from changing back. 22 23
