A Tug-of-War

Ling Xin looked at the Huang Mao youth who had suddenly appeared and snorted coldly, "Lü Xin... I've already set my sights on this."

"So what?" Huang Mao Lü Xin shrugged with a smile. "The deal didn't go through, so everyone can compete fairly."

As he spoke, he walked to the stall, drew his long knife, removed the steel ring from it, and handed it to the stall owner. "These two of mine should be of better quality than hers, right?"

The stall owner examined the items carefully. "Indeed, these two suit me better..." he said, then looked apologetically at Ling Xin. "Sorry, I'm just a vendor, and there are better buyers already, so..."

Ling Xin frowned and looked at Lü Xin: "You just came here to disgust me, didn't you?"

"That makes sense..." the boss nodded.

Seeing that the stall owner was about to side with Lü Xin, Ling Xin gritted her teeth and said, "I'll exchange my two rare items for one Epic-level! I'll offer three Epic-level in exchange for this one, how about it?"

Ling Xin gritted her teeth, when suddenly Ailongtan stepped forward and said, "Since you know he's from the Ling Family, aren't you afraid of retaliation from the Ling Family?"

"Revenge?" Lü Xin chuckled. "The Ling Family is indeed the most Great Family, but my Lü family isn't easy to bully!" He then looked at Ling Xin. "Besides, I heard you're not very well-liked in the Lineage, right? Your deceased father was Ling Ao's younger brother; they both competed for the position of family head back then. The more talented and capable you two siblings are, the less secure that Feather Transformation will feel, won't he?"

Ling Xin gritted her teeth, reached for the Hundred Treasure Box, and was about to place another bet when Ailongtan stepped forward and said, "This fellow is incredibly wealthy, we concede defeat, the item is yours!"

As he spoke, he helped Ling Xin put away several magical artifacts, then pulled her along as they walked back.

Ling Xin was slightly taken aback. Just as she was about to insist, she saw "Luo Jun" wink at her, so she didn't say anything more and left with him.

Seeing that Ling Xin had already left, Lü Xin was slightly surprised. At this moment, the stall owner next to him rubbed his hands together and came forward. "Young Master, let's do the transaction as agreed before..."

"I'll buy it if you want," Lü Xin sneered, taking out only the long sword. "I'll trade you this one."

"One piece?" The stall owner naturally objected. "I originally priced it at two pieces, no way!"

"Fine then, it's your fault for not wanting to make the deal, don't blame me!" With that, Lü Xin sheathed his long sword and turned to leave.

The stall owner wanted to chase after him to argue, but he couldn't bear to leave the magical artifacts on his stall. Besides, he could tell that this Huang Mao guy was from a Great Family and probably not someone to be trifled with, so he could only sigh and suffer in silence.

Not long after Lü Xin left, Ling Xin and Ailongtan returned to the stall.

"Boss, is that Legendary Combination Module still available?"

"But..." the shopkeeper tried to haggle, but Ailongtan interrupted him, "No buts! Believe me, if you miss out on us, you won't be able to sell it for this price again!"

After hesitating for a few seconds, the shop owner sighed and said, "Alright, deal..."

Taking advantage of Lü Xin's absence, Ling Xin hurriedly took out her treasure and successfully completed the transaction. Afterward, she put away the Legendary Combination Module, and a rare smile, like that of a young girl, appeared on her face.

"You're really good at bargaining!" Ling Xin praised.
