The Maintainer

Luo Jun looked around and found himself in a pristine white, square room. A coffee table stood before him, with a sofa on either side.

It looked like... a Reception Room?

"It is a Reception Room."

Just as Luo Jun was wondering, a voice suddenly came from behind him. He jumped in surprise and turned around to see a balding, stubbly man in a tank top and flip-flops, yawning as he rubbed grime from his chest.

"Who are you?!"

Luo Jun frowned. A living person had appeared behind him, yet he had not sensed a thing. Even now, with the man standing right in front of him, Luo Jun could barely detect any aura from him... Could he be an illusion?

With that thought, Luo Jun reached out, but with a smack, the Uncle knocked his hand aside.

"Little brat, you have no manners at all. You start feeling people up the moment we meet." The uncle walked around Luo Jun and sat down on one of the sofas. Then he waved his hand, and a tea tray, teapot, and teacups appeared on the coffee table.

"What are you standing around for? Have a seat." The Uncle gestured toward the opposite side, but Luo Jun remained on guard and did not act rashly. "Why are you so tense?" The Uncle chuckled. "You can tell, can't you? This is my territory. You might think there's something wrong with the sofa, but perhaps there's also something wrong with the ground beneath your feet and the air you're breathing. Everything in this space is under my control. Stop overthinking it. You might as well make yourself comfortable."

"That makes sense." Luo Jun nodded and sat down openly across from the scruffy uncle.

The uncle began making tea with practiced ease. Watching him pinch
